It was back at the end of October, when it was apparent that we are entering into faze 2 of the Covid-19 caused pandemic in Ontario, and more specificaly in Toronto, York Region and surrounding areas.

We have all witnessed during the restrictions in the Spring that small businesses are taking a toll, same already had to close their doors, and other ones doing their best to stay afloat. After having some personal conversations I felt that I needed to do something to help.

With the support of my family, I had decided to make a commitment untill the end of this year, to invest in 10 $50 Gift Cards to Small Businesses in our/my community, and give them away by a draw, 1 gift card each week. With incoming support & generosity from other businesses and some great friends, I was able to double up and give away 2 gift cards each week up to date.

We were able to support 9 Small Businesses in the first half of the Gift Card Give Away to Support Small Businesses, had 10 lucky individuals who won the gift cards and $700 was put back into the economy. I know it is not much, but every little helps, and more importantly we are hopefully inspiring others to step up and do something to help Small Businesses.
